American Tax Consulting is led by Iain Forshaw who has nearly twenty year’s experience providing US tax advice to clients. He specialises in helping individuals with their US personal tax affairs including providing tax compliance and consulting advice.
Iain started his career with KPMG UK in 2003 where he qualified as a Chartered Tax Accountant and US Enrolled Agent. He joined Frank Hirth UK (now part of EY) in 2009 and worked for the company in both the UK and US. Having moved to New Zealand in 2014, he went on to establish and direct the Frank Hirth NZ office.
Having worked in the expatriate tax teams within KPMG and Frank Hirth, he has an extensive background in assisting individuals move countries and the US tax complexities that involves. This includes the tax implications of international assignments, and the tax compliance requirements for global employers and their international assignees.
